Summary[edit]

Zach and Randy are two teens living in a Missouri town who are filming a documentary about their town, however only garnering 6 subscribers. Zach is also in love with Kayla, a Lacrosse playing girl who is friends with Zach. However, one night, Zach and Randy hear a scream coming from a house, and witness a woman, Ms Bisette, in a closet, yelling about how something bit her. However, when they film this and send it to the cops, the deputy Josh brushes it off. Throughout the day, people in the town start to act weird, specifically the local Pastor Greg, and the Sheriff. One night, Kayla and Zach see Kayla's mom's body and a huge egg sac in the corner of the attic, with Kayla's dad acting very weird. However, Josh searches the house to find nothing, and Kayla's mom still alive, although very erratic, with Kayla's brother Joey, who they are forced to abandon.

Realizing that something is off with everyone, Zach, Kayla, and Randy visit Zach's mom and paralyzed dad. However, Zach's dad strangely gets off his wheelchair, and the citizens surround them. They place two iceboxes in front of them, and they witness Zach's mom getting cloned and killed by her copy. Managing to escape before the clones come, Zach and Randy meet up with Kayla, and they get out before the clones can find them. That night, the trio visit Josh's trailer in the woods, where he killed his counterpart and agrees to help them. However, Randy's clone arrives and the clones flip the trailer over. In the ensuing chaos, Josh is dragged to his death, and Randy distracts the clones to get Zach and Kayla to safety.

Realizing that they left Joey in the care of clones, Zach and Kayla go to the town, where they act emotionless and robotic to get past the clones, who are burning dead kids bodies in a pile, making a bonfire. They retrieve a key to a flower shop van, and Kayla witnesses parents cloning their kids. She unsuccessfully attempts to grab Joey, and yells for him to go to a secluded cabin her parents own, before Zach saves her. The Duo reach the radio station, where they see Randy, revealed to be a clone, and having killed the real Randy. Kayla and Zach end up reluctantly drowning the clone, and they witness clones loading up stacks of crates. They evade the clones and go inside, where Zach and Kayla's clones attempt to kill them, almost killing Zach before Kayla Intervenes. They upload a Youtube video of the incidents to try to get help, and kill their clones with carbon monoxide

Zach and Kayla make it to the cabin, where they see Joey and see Washington D.C,New York City,Paris,India, and China completely overrun with clones, the clones making bonfires made of dead children. Realizing that Missouri wasn't the first, but the last town, they look on in horror. A final shot shows the Youtube video, with multiple comments showing that there are other survivors in Prauge, Boston, and China
