Astami Snan

Astami Snan (Bengali: অষ্টমী স্নান; Öştomi Snan) is a Hindu religious festival celebrated by taking a ritual bath in a holy river, particularly the Brahmaputra River in Langalbandh, Narayanganj District, Bangladesh. It is observed on the eighth day of the lunar month (Chaitra) and attracts large crowds of devotees from Bangladesh and neighbouring countries.[1]
