[1] According to Durga Saptashati[2] Devi-Bhagavata Purana mentions a man named Samadhi born in a rich Vaishya family, but his son and wife take his money and his house. At that time, he is very upset, but always thinks whether his wife and son are living well or not. He goes and sees one Ashram that is of Medha rishi, and after that Medha rishi tells a story of Goddess Durga in front of him and Surath king. That story is known as Durga Saptashati[2]
