Athula Gunawardena is an Associate professor of Mathematics at University of Wisconsin–Madison USA.
Early life[edit]
After being educated at Nalanda College Colombo and entering University of Peradeniya, Athula earned a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Later furthering his interest mathematics he received double masters degrees for mathematics and for computer science from University of Wyoming and also a PhD in mathematics from same university in 1995.[1] Later from University of Wisconsin–Madison, Athula obtained another PhD in computer science.[2][3]
