Atika Ahmad Farooqui is an Indian TV Anchor, celebrity talk show host, Entertainment editor, poet, producer, Creative writer, Voice over artist for over 15 years.[3][4][5] She had worked in 6 channels in 15 years which are India's prestigious news channels like Star News, IBN7, E24/News24,Bhaskar News, News Nation, and now Colors’ movie channel – Rishtey Cineplex. Hailing from Lucknow, she thinks language and culture is the new soft power. She has represented India in 43rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva in 2020.[2][6][7]
Career[edit]
Atika was a prolific theatre actor in college, before starting her career with Star, in early 2003. Atika has worked with stalwarts of media, like Vir Sanghvi, Uday Shankar, Raghav Bahl, Rajdeep Sardesai and Raj Nayak of Colors. She was also anchor in shows like Saas Bahu aur Saazish in 2005.[8] Her uncle's father -Sukhbir Singh Gautam was a freedom fighter.[9][10]
