Atlantis Management Group, also known as AMG, is a private American company based in Mount Vernon, New York, that acquires, develops and operates gasoline service stations and convenience stores within the Northeast area, primarily in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. The group currently operates 192 gasoline-service stations and convenience-stores.

History[edit]

Atlantis Management Group was founded in 2006 by Tumay Basaranlar, Jose Montero, and Jimmy Kochisarli.[1] It began its operations with the acquisition of a gas station, and became a Dunkin’ franchisee. From 2006 to 2014, it primarily served as a wholesale petroleum distributor for companies such as Exxon, Mobil, BP, CitGo, and Shell, and acquired a number of Dunkin’ Donuts franchises. It also works with retailers such as 7-eleven.[2]

Atlantis Fresh Market[edit]

In 2014, Atlantis Management Group (AMG) began its own network of self-branded convenience chain stores and gas service stations, known as Atlantis Fresh Market, primarily in the tri-state area and Massachusetts.[1]

Acquisitions[edit]

In 2017–2018, the group acquired Food Bag[3][4] and Super Value, both of which were chains of convenience stores within the tri-state area. These stores were rebranded as Atlantis Fresh Markets. The same year, it acquired Datillo Petroleum Inc., giving it 27 retail locations within New York and New Jersey.[5] In 2019, it acquired Americana Petroleum Corp. and Major Fuel Carriers Corp, giving it eight retail gas locations with convenience stores within Suffolk County, NY[6][7][8] and has since acquired other gas stations.[9]

By 2019, AMG had a total of 192 gasoline service stations and convenience stores that it operated, and is currently one of the largest Dunkin’ franchisees.
