Atta ur Rehman Hidayat
Atta ur Rehman Hidayat (Pashto: عطاءالرحمن هدایت) is a Pashtun Independent Journalist, PoliticalCommentator, Author, Translator and writer. His parents migrated from Afghanistan to Pakistan when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979. He was born on 23rd April 1993 in Mohmand Agency, Pakistan. He completed his first Education in Peshawar and was graduated in the field of Commerce from University of Peshawarhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Peshawar. He wrote Novels and columns about education, peace and for the awareness of his Pashtun Nation. His Novels and Columns were published by different Afghan media channels, i.e. Rohi.[1] HaskNews.[2] He wrote a lot about the rights of women and criticized the Pashtun culture and society which is very strict towards women.

Hidayat has translated the book where the bear met the lion.[3] to the language of Pashto. This is a historical book which is written by Dr.Khalil ur Rehman Rahmany and published in the United States in which the whole story of soviet-Afghan war is briefly described. Hidayat criticized the Pashtun culture which is very strict towards women. He started a campaign against the harassment of women in Pashtun society and arranged hundreds of seminars and delivered speeches about the rights of women in society. He was tortured by the Malik and khans of Pashtun society but he continuously worked hard for women’s rights. After four years of struggle, he finally brought a lot of positive changes in the Pashtun Society.
