Attack of the Tromaggot[1] [2] is a No budget Trashfilm from Germany by Leslie Teah. It is a Hommage to the independent Film studio Troma. Debbie Rochon, Lloyd Kaufman and Toxie even have a little cameo appearance in this film.[3]

Plot[edit]

The small suburb MAGGOTOWN is governed by a warm and incompetent police chief. He does not recognize the illegal organization mucus dealing with slime and pollutes the entire sewerage system of MAGGOTOWN. Unfortunately the science laboratory of MAGGOTOWN disposed a little maggot in the same sewer system. The maggot gets in contact with these toxic slime and mutates to the terrible green Tromaggot. Time after time Tromaggot kills more and more people of Maggotown. After a comeback to the laboratory of MAGGOTOWN Tromaggot gets in contact with another toxic slime and he mutates again - to the terrible white Tromaggot.[4]

Production[edit]

The consolidated value of 1.000 Euro for the Budget of the film was the money from a sperm bank. The Tromaggot monster was created by Leslie Teah himself and thereby it was very low-cost (i.e. the green monster consisted of a green colored sock). The most expensive and elaborate scene was the showdown scene shot in the abandoned Radio building of the GDR. The translation and synchronisation into English have been recorded in a professionell recording studio in Berlin. For the German language some speaking actors are litte German celebrities (i.e. Konrad Stöckel, Hennes Bender, Coldmirror[5]).

Release[edit]

In 2010, a big premieren tour with Lloyd Kaufman took place in Germany. The Film was screened in Berlin, Saarbrücken (on the Splatterdaynightfevers) and in Nuremberg (in Kommkino)[6]. In December 2011 the Film was released by MUP Verlag in Germany available on a Double DVD Box with Soundtrack CD[7] (a lot of music bands wrote some "Tromaggot-Songs"). In 2012, the film was released by Troma.[8][9]
