Products[edit]
Aurelia Turbines is a manufacturer of small gas turbines for distributed power generation in industrial and commercial CHP (combined heat and power) / cogeneration applications. It utilises active magnetic bearings and IRG2 process in its turbines. IRG2 stands for intercooled and recuperated generator on two spools. Aurelia's turbines are the first of its kind to utilize all these features in the same unit. This process enables high electrical efficiency.[6]
With its 400 kW power, Aurelia's first turbine called Aurelia A400 is designed for small and medium size industrial and commercial use.[7]
The gas turbines of the company are based on innovations developed by Aurelia Turbines and technology developed at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT.[8]
