Aurora Elizabeth Dawson-Hunte (born 14 December 1996) is an English actress. She is known for her roles in the Netflix series October Faction (2020) and The Stranger (2020).
Early life and education[edit]
Dawson-Hunte was born in London. Her mother is of Guyanese and Barbadian heritage, and her father is of English and Scandinavian ancestry. Though she was mostly raised in the UK, she spent time in Spain when she was growing up. She attended Dunraven School then graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2018.[1] Dawson-Hunte speaks several languages, including French.

Television[edit]
Dawson-Hunte made her television debut in 2018 with a role in Sex Education for Netflix and the lead role Viv in October Faction,[2] also for Netflix, alongside Tamara Taylor and J. C. MacKenzie. She also played Jenna in The Stranger (Netflix) and Abigail in There She Goes for BBC Two opposite David Tennant and Jessica Hynes.
Theatre[edit]
In 2021, Dawson-Hunte made her theatrical debut as Elizabeth Seymour in Hilary Mantel's stage version of novel The Mirror and the Light, starring Ben Miles as Thomas Cromwell and and Nathaniel Parker as Henry VIII.[3] In 2022, she starred in Dmitry, Peter Oswald version of Friedrich Schiller's unfinished tragedy Demetrius. Broadway World noted "a standout performance from Aurora Dawson-Hunte".[4]
