Aurum Ventures is a real estate and venture capital investment company based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Aurum owns 35.04% stake in informational technology consultancy and software company Majesco Limited.[2]

In September 2021, Majesco Limited changed its name to Aurum PropTech Ltd.[2][3]

Ashish Deora, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and the CEO of Aurum Ventures, founded the company in Mumbai in April 1999.[4]

The company invests in both early- and growth-stage companies across sectors, such as telecom, automotive, aviation and renewable energy. Aurum Platz is the real estate arm of Aurum Ventures.[5]

In May 2018, Aurum Ventures entered into a forward purchase agreement with the Singapore-based Ascendas-Singbridge Group and sold 1.4 million square foot (sq ft) office space for ₹930 crore (Singapore USD 170 million).[6][7]

In November 2021, Ascendas completed the acquisition of leased commercial tower spread over 0.62 million square foot for ₹353 crore, equivalent to SGD$64 million, in furtherance to the forward purchase agreement. The deal was among the biggest acquisitions of a standalone commercial tower by a global institutional investor in the past few years.[8][9]

Investments and acquisitions[edit]

In March 2021, Aurum Ventures acquired a 14.78% promoter stake in Majesco India Limited,[10][11] a software development company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE539289) and National Stock Exchange (Symbol - AURUM),[12] through its subsidiary Aurum Platz which also made an open offer to acquire up to 26 per cent in accordance with takeover regulations.[13][14][15]

In June 2021, Ashish Deora through Aurum became an anchor investor in Integrow. Integrow raised Rs 1000 crore realty fund that will concentrate on funding last-mile projects.[16][17]

In July 2021, the company acquired a Pune based software company K2V2 Technologies for ₹40 crores.[18][19][20]

In Oct 2021, Aurum bought a 49% stake in Integrow Asset Management Pvt. Ltd., a tech-led real estate asset management company, for ₹25 crore, to merge property technology and fintech.[21]

In December 2021, Aurum PropTech, a subsidiary of Aurum Ventures, made an investment of $5 million in rental management platform TheHouseMonk.[22]

In December 2021, Aurum PropTech announced an equity capital raising of up to ₹343.56 crore through a rights issue. The company issued 3 equity shares for every 2 shares. The rights issue was priced at ₹80 per share. Aurum confirmed that they will subscribe to all the unsubscribed rights shares in the issue.[23]

In February 2022, Aurum PropTech announced that it has acquired 53% stake in co-living platform Grexter Housing Solutions for ₹27 crore.[24]

In March 2022, Aurum PropTech acquired 100% stake in Bangalore-based HelloWorld.[25]
