Auto de Resistência is a 2018 Brazilian documentary film directed by journalist Natasha Neri and cinematographer Lula Carvalho. It deals with homicides by the police against civilians in Rio de Janeiro, in situations initially labeled legitimate defense.[1]
Auto de Resistência was one of the Brazilian feature films selected for the 23rd edition of the Brazilian film festival É Tudo Verdade.[2][3][4] It won the prize for best Brazilian feature film, qualifying it to be nominated for the Academy Awards.[5]
