Career[edit]
Club level[edit]
In club competition, Dempsey plays for Bowdon Hightown in the England division 1 north league.[1]
National team[edit]
Under–19[edit]
Ava Dempsey made her debut for the Welsh U–18 team in 2020. She became the co-captain of the u19 wales team this year along with other co-captain Betsan Tomas. Around 2 months later they both got called up to wales u21 Welsh team where they both got selected to go to the junior World Cup in South Africa.[2]
The future for Dempsey[edit]
Ava is going to Princeton university next year. She was offered a hockey scholarship. Dempsey will be playing with the Princeton field hockey team. Unfortunately she won’t be playing for Bowdon whilst she is there although that doesn’t mean that she won’t return when she returns back to the uk. When Dempsey gets back I’m sure she will be looking to play for the wales senior womens team. Overall the future is looking very bright. [3]
