Avea Life AG (stylised Avea) is a Swiss company based in Zug that develops and sells dietary supplements related to longevity and healthy ageing.[2][1]

History

Avea was founded in 2021 by Duri Granziol, Sophie Chabloz, Teresa Budetta and Pascal Rode.[1] In June 2022 it raised CHF 2.5 million in seed funding from Maximon, a Swiss venture builder focused on longevity start-ups.[3] A second round in 2023 brought in about US$5 million to support expansion.[4]

Operations

Avea operates within Switzerland’s longevity industry, which includes companies working in nutrition, diagnostics and therapeutics aimed at extending healthspan.[2][5] The company moved its manufacturing to Switzerland in 2023 after previously outsourcing production.[6]

By 2024, *Bilanz* wrote that Avea had reached profitability, with strong sales in China and plans to expand into Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.[1] *NutraIngredients* described its products as mainly NMN- and collagen-based supplements and reported ongoing growth in the Asia–Pacific region.[7]

Several Avea products are listed on the Cologne List (Kölner Liste), a database of supplements tested for prohibited substances.[8][9][10]
