Aviation 8 is a one man Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band located in Syracuse NY. The project was started in April 2021 by main member Ethan Elijah.
Ethan Elijah was born on July 10th 2003. He started making music under his own name in 2019.
Ethan states: I started experimenting and recording music back in early 2019 If I remember correctly. The first song I made was a crappy instrumental most definitely. But it got me my start. I eventually released more and more instrumental albums. But it got boring quick. Cause im not that involved in the music to where I'm writing full on progressive instrumentals. I have a more simple writing style and I needed to get something out there that was more accessible. So one summer I was messing around on the microphone sometime in April and started working on a simple instrumental and I eventually wrote my first ever real song 'Only Dying' and had it saved and all done in July of 2021.)

The first official single 'Only Dying' was released on October 10th 2021. (re-recorded)
'Aviation 8 EP' Released on February 15th, 2022. The First official release from the project. Featuring the big single from that project 'Run' which is more known now for the 'Kick Ass '23 Remix' Version.
Ethan states: "That EP. I was very proud of at the time. It was the first for everything. Aviation 8, Writing full structured songs, Doing vocals and all that. It was a very raw sound and very unpolished. I liked it because while it was flawed at parts with my inexperience as a producer. It made me grow as a musician and made me progress and thats what I'm most proud of when It comes to everything I've released."
The next single that brought more attention to Aviation 8 was the song 'Against The Grain' Released on what other day than April 20th, 2022.
Against The Grain paired along nicely on the eventual debut self titled album. Named appropriately 'Aviation 8' The album features many singles that improved on the overall sound of the project compaired from the EP we last heard back in February)
Ethan States: That first album I was mostly doing that off the cuff so to speak. I had no clue what I was doing. I literally sat down and was like "Im gonna do an album" Wrote everything and had a deadline for myself and If i was happy with it. I might as well put it out instead of sitting on it forever and tweak over and over again. It just creates more stress for me I guess. I gotta purge it out some way"
Ethan began writing another album what would eventually be titled "A Different Space" in 2022. The album features a darker atmosphere in overall tone. Lyrics, downtuned guitars, and at points scream vocals.
Ethan states: I wanted to try something different sound wise. I wanted to put down on recording what I was feeling in my mind. Chaos. I know I sound like I have a huge ego. (Especially the way I'm typing this lol.) but we all go through shit in life and I just wanted to express myself in a more dark way. Especially visually. The bright purple colors of the first album were changed to black brown and gold. I guess I just wanted to put down visually what i was feeling in my head. I don't know I question whether or not I get too into it. Who knows."
"I was so disappointed with 'A Different Space' I was going to eventually wrap up Aviation 8 altogether. I'm not sure If I was taking it too seriously at the time or what. I was going through some rough patches personally and from what I remember I genuinely didn't want to make music the way I was doing it. I was way too involved and expecting too much. But I eventually sat down and got over my bullshit lol. And made music for the simple reason of having fun and learning a thing or to. So I almost felt "Resurrected" personally. Rising from the ashes kinda thing. Doing better that whole kinda thing."
Eventually Aviation 8 Released a new album titled Resurrected on July 26th 2023. The first Aviation 8 album to be released in the same calender year as previous. The album features Aviation 8's most popular singles to date. Such as 'Omen', 'Unsaid', 'On The Run' and title track 'Resurrected'. But it doesn't stop there other songs from Resurrected have been praised by certain groups of listeners. The opener 'This Life Is Mine' starts out heavy and fast along with brutal vocals. Under The Grave has been described as 'Brutal', 'Downhill' and 'Scream' are great listens as well.
Ethan States: "I felt something with this album and I knew it was the best thing I have done so far. Its only up from here and what's a better album than this one to start it on."
