Aviator hold (single-handed)

The Aviator hold is a way of carrying suitable especially for babies with baby colics. The child is held belly down on the arm(s). The aviator hold is possible with one or two arms (the second supporting the first arm or additionally holding the baby), depending on carrier strengths and baby weight.

Effect

Applying the aviator hold helps burping a baby. Supposedly, also the neck muscles are strengthened and the sense of balance is fostered.[1]
