Axel Andersson (born 10 February 2000) is a Swedish junior ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for the Djurgårdens IF of the J20 SuperElit as a prospect to the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL).[1][2] He was selected 57th overall by the Bruins in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career[edit]

The Boston Bruins drafted Andersson 57th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. It was their first draft pick in the draft. On July 1, 2018 the Bruins signed him to a three-year entry-level contract worth an annual NHL Salary cap hit of $825,833.[3]
