Ayman Tartir (/ˈeɪmən tɑːrˈtiːr/ AY-mən tar-TEER), sometimes known by his mononym AYMAN or his instrumental music brand Ayman World Fusion, is a Tunisian-American composer, singer, saxophonist, and producer from Athens, Georgia. Tartir first rose to fame in 2009 when he was featured by Tunisian artist Riadh El Fehri and Venezuelan flautist Pedro Eustache (of Yanni fame) in the finale of the International Festival of Carthage in Tunisia. The show, which was broadcast nationally and internationally, led to media attention and later an offer to collaborate with the Tunisian National Orchestra. During the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia, Tartir released an instrumental song called "Embers of Time," which later became the title track of his debut instrumental album of the same name. Released in 2013 to positive reception, the album established Tartir in the World Fusion genre. Two years later, Tartir changed direction, releasing his first vocal single called "Friend of Mine," which was notably featured in a full-page spread in the 2015 American Music Awards guide across from Nicki Minaj and praised by Tunisian media.
