Azeus Systems Holdings Ltd. is a Bermuda investment holding company for the Azeus brand. Its headquarters is located in Hong Kong and it has operations in various countries and regions. The company focuses on software development; it is the core on why the company operates its day-to-day activities. It operates within two segments: products and services.[2]
History[edit]
Azeus was founded in Hong Kong in 1991. Its founder is Lee Wan Lik, Lee graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[3] The company started with just three employees, from 1992 to 2009 the company mainly developed software applications for different organizations, one of its early client is the Hong Kong Government.
In 2004 Azeus Systems filed for Initial public offering and become a public company It is currently listed in Singapore Stock Exchange.[4][5] By 2010 Azeus started developing its own in house software called Azeus Convene.[6]
Azeus Systems received awards from both Asia Pacific Stevie Awards and IT Europa Awards 2018.[7][8][9] Azeus launches ConveneAGM in September 2021.[10] On 15 March 2022, Azeus announced the appointment of Michael Yap, a former independent director of the company and the current deputy chairperson, as its new CEO.[11][12]
In May 2022, Azeus built a record keeping system for the Hong Kong Government.[13] Azeus onboarded Kapil Lad as the Head Of Global marketing based in India in June 2022.[14] Yahoo published an article on December 2022 regarding Azeus Systems holdings ownership where 53% are accounted for private companies and insiders account accounted for 31% it is also stated that it is less common for large companies to lack institutional investors.[15]
In January 2023 there was a trend of high returns at Azeus Systems due to an increase in its return on capital employed. Azeus was continuously reinvesting its earnings into its business; returns on capital employed measures the return (pre-tax profit) a company generates from capital employed in its business.[16]
