Azola Mlota (born 1993) is a South African social media personality and public relations specialist. He is best known for being behind the Twitter hashtag #UMjoloWithAzola, which helps singles find love.[1]

Early life and education

Azola was born in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He studied public relations at the Central University of Technology.[2][3]

Career

In 2017, he established a public relations agency that deals with public relations for events, social media campaigns and promotions. He has had the opportunity to work with brands such as Trace Mobile, Viceroy DJ Competition Search 2016, Golden Bean Music Awards and the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards. He has also been interviewed on SABC 2’s Morning LIVE, Cliff Central and radio stations such as Metro FM, 702 Talk Radio, IKwekwezi FM, Kofifi FM.[4]

In February 2019, he was identified as one of the leading social media influencers by SABC 1’s talk show Daily Thetha.[5]

In January 2020, he was nominated as one of the 100 most influential young South Africans by Avance Media.[6] He is also the PR manager for the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards.[7]
