B.S.Pradeep Varma is an Indian film director, lyricist, and screenwriter who predominantly works in Kannada cinema.
Early Life[edit]
B.S.Pradeep Varma was born on 7 July 1981, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He is the youngest son of artist B. K. S. Varma.
Career[edit]
Initially, B.S.Pradeep Varma worked as assistant director, along with Sathya Prakash and B.G.Basavaraj, for Dr. Vishnuvardhan's Namyajamanru. His entrance into Kannada cinema was as director of the film Urvi (2017), in which he cast Sruthi Hariharan, Shraddha Srinath, Shweta Pandit, Bhavani Prakash, Achyuth Kumar and Vasuki Vaibhav. Urvi is the first Kannada film to be officially nominated in the top 6 best feature films at the Los Angeles Film Awards (LAFA). He also made the short film Chakori, which won a special jury award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival Noida and was a finalist at Filmskillet Santa Barabara Film Festival. He also wrote and directed a Hindi short film called Marasim[1] and is currently working on his debut in Bollywood with The Fallen.[2]
