B.G. Baarregaard is an Iceland-born, Oslo-based songwriter, producer and a DJ.[1] Baarregaard started to produce and compose music in the late 1990s under different aliases but began to gain attention and support with his Nu-disco re-edits under the name B.G. Baarregaard on SoundCloud. In 2010 he released unofficial re-edits of songs by Stanley Clarke and Brenton Wood which followed with release of his original productions under the moniker B.G Baarregaard.
His productions have been championed by the likes of Dj Harvey, Dimitri from Paris, Greg Wilson and Sleazy McQueen.[2] He has released his music on labels such as Whiskey Disco, Editorial, Disco Volante, Midnight Riot, Audacious and Silhouette Music.[3]
As a DJ, he's a regular fixture amongst European hotspots from Bergen to Oslo to his hometown, Reykjavik.
