BCharts
BCharts is a Brazilian internet forum to discuss everything that involves pop culture. The forum came up in 2008, as the Billboard Charts community in Orkut[1]. Since the social network was deactivated in 2014, the forum started its own website, where various topics and news taken from different sources are the focus of debate, in addition to the freedom to create their own topics for discussion, with categorized spaces[2] focused on Music, TV, Movies, Celebrities, Politics and News. The forum currently has more than 17,000 members[3], who feed the news and update music releases 24 hours a day.[4][5][6][7]

History
In 2008, the Billboard Charts community on Orkut was created, focused on bringing together pop culture lovers and huge fan bases to discuss, promote interaction between fans of the same artist and talk about the main music charts around the world. With the end of the social network in 2014, the community members and administrators moved to their own website.[8], where they remain to this day. Taking the forum's topics to social media, BCharts now has a great notoriety as a music news portal on social media, with almost 500,000 followers through the platforms of Twitter[9], Instagram[10], Facebook[11] and Telegram[12].
In 2019, BCharts was invited to the MemeAwards[13], in recognition of their relevance for the creation and spread of memes in the Brazilian internet[14], as well as helping to publicize artists who came to be known through memes and gifs, like Inês Brasil, Gretchen and WEB DIVA TULLA LUANA. In the same year, the forum received great media attention when it was nominated for the MTV MIAW Brazil, in the "Meme Maker of the Year" category[15][16][17], also in recognition of the creation and dissemination of memes. In the campaign for the award, the hashtag "#MTVBRMEMEIROBCHARTS" reached the top of the Brazilian Twitter's Trending Topics, also appearing in the top 10 trends worldwide. This wasn't the first time that the forum reached the top of Trending Topics on the social network, as some artists' fans were unable to understand the acid and mocking humor[18] which they take the news to the public, having one of these misunderstandings bringing the hashtag "#BChartsIsOverParty" to the top of the Trending Topics in Brazil[19], ranking on #3 in worldwide trends. At another time, BCharts became news after receiving a like of the singer IZA in a post on their Instagram, where there was supposed to be a shade to another singer, which became breaking news and was quickly disseminated on several tabloids[20][21].
In another media appearance, BCharts's social media sent a message from the Latin singer Kali Uchis to the Brazilian artist Pabllo Vittar, where the Latin star declared her love and admiration for the drag queen's work and art and thanked them for their support[22].
Recently, BCharts became viral when they called Marina Diamandis as “Foquinha from Greece”, in a joke with the Marina’s lookalike youtuber Foquinha . The joke instantly became viral, putting the youtuber’s name in the Twitter’s trending topics and being noticed at TV Globo, Brazil’s biggest TV channel[23]
The forum also addresses political agendas to discuss, giving interviews to Brazilian politicians such as Ciro Gomes[24] and Alessandro Molon[25] on their Instagram profile.
