BIP is an Italian multinational consultancy company that works for businesses and public administration. It has its headquarters in Milan and operates in 13 other countries [1] and the largest shareholder is the CVC Capital Partners fund.

History[edit]

Founded in 2003 by Nino Lo Bianco, Carlo Capè and Fabio Troiani, in 15 years it became the first Italian consultancy company[2], with more than 5,000 employees worldwide. Initially owned by Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, in 2007 Engineering left the shareholding structure[3] and the Argos Soditc fund entered, while in 2018 the share package was taken over by Apax Partners[4], the main shareholder of Engineering itself, always maintaining the Italian management who founded the company in 2003. In 2021 the international fund CVC Capital purchases the majority of the Italian consultancy company.

BIP has its registered office in Milan (piazza San Babila, 5) and other offices in Italy (in Rome, Bologna, Palermo and Mogliano Veneto TV, Padua) and in 12 further countries: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Switzerland and Turkey.

It began its activities abroad by following Italian multinationals [5] locally and then developing further services locally.
