BLK 55 is a hip-hop activist and rapper (born November 3, 1996 in Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara Indonesia).

BLK 55 A.K.A. Andra Sandi started his career since mid-2011 with the stage name Number One, releasing the single "Perjuangan Kita" and "Ku Jatuh Cinta," then took a break from rap music as a solo rapper in 2013. He then formed a rap group named DOSTEP CREW with three friends and worked until the beginning of 2016, when he decided to leave DOSTEP CREW and released his third solo single titled "Hati-Hati" in early 2017 and "I Don't Care" in 2018 with the stage name New BLK 55. After a long time without new releases, BLK 55 made a comeback and released his single "RUNNIN'" (Prod. By SNNC) in April 2019, where Akbar Haka was the Executive Producer.[1]

Career

BLK 55 began his career as Number One in mid-2011, releasing the single "Perjuangan Kita" with Rhymez VTA and "Ku Jatuh Cinta" with Mr. D under the auspices of HIP-Hop Koetai Foundation, then took a break from the world of rap music as a solo rapper in early 2013. He then formed a rap group named Doestep Crew with some singles, including Penjilat[2], and later left Doestep Crew, according to his own admission. However, in the Hip-Hop community, BLK 55 was reportedly still involved with Hazard of Doestep Crew in 2016. He then returned to his solo career by releasing his third solo single titled "Hati-Hati" in early 2017 and "I Don't Care" in 2018 with the new stage name BLK 55, which was previously known as Number One. After a long period without new releases, BLK 55 made a comeback and released his single "Runnin'" which was produced by DJ and the music producer from Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara in April 2019[1] and the single "YOU" produced by a young Producer from Samarinda was released on December 19, 2019[3] where Akbar Haka was the Executive Producer and released by the indie record label established by BLK 55 with SNNC, Tunedictive Records as the distribution division of Tunedictive collective Hip-Hop from Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara.
