The Fatih series, which started to be produced in BMC's Bornova, Izmir factory in 1986, was expanded with different models in the following period. There are different models from light tonnage trucks to heavy construction site trucks. Military tactical wheeled models are used in the Turkish army. It is produced as a tractor as well as trucks. Produced in right-hand drive models for UK. BMC Fatih is manufactured under license in assembly plants located in Iran, Malaysia and Kenya and marketed to various countries.

In addition, in 1992, it became the first Turkish truck model to be used in the Dakar Rally with a specially produced Fatih model, piloted by the Turkish racing driver Renç Koçibey.
