BOX8[1] is an Indian food on demand service incorporated in 2012 by Indian Institute of technology (IIT) alumni, Anshul Gupta and Amit Raj.[2][3]
BOX8 operates in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Delhi and takes orders from its app and website.[4][5][6] BOX8 owns the entire value chain: procurement, food preparation, and last mile delivery.[4]

BOX8 was founded by Anshul Gupta and Amit Raj and incorporated in 2012.[2][7]
Anshul from IIT Mumbai was previously an analyst at Deutsche Bank and Amit, from IIT Kharagpur previously worked for Deutsche Bank as a senior analyst.[8]
Operations[edit]
BOX8 operates its cloud kitchens in 4 cities of India including; Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Delhi.[4] The company has scaled up over 110+ stores and clocks 1 million orders per month across 4 cities.[9][10]
Funding[edit]
BOX8 Series A funding of US$3.5 million (Rs. 21 crore) was raised from Mayfield in 2015, followed the seed round.[11][12][13]
BOX8 raised US$7.5 million (Rs.50 crore) in its Series B round from IIFL Seed Ventures and Mayfield[14], and Series C round of funding of US$15 million(Rs.110 crore) led by Alibaba Group-backed technology, eWTP Ecosystem Fund.[15][16][17][18]
