Bjorn Martin born and raised in Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. He was raised by his late father, Michael Peter Martin who was a music constructor and pianist. Martin then grew up following his late father's footsteps, taking music as his career.[3]
Controversies[edit]
In early 2021 B Major accused the Cape Town born rapper, YoungstaCPT and his DJ, The Muffin Man (who also happens to be Shane Eagle's producer) for stealing his instrumentals. B Major and The Muffin Man were in contact exchanging texts on Facebook messenger where B Major told the rapper's producer that he wants to be taken seriously as a record producer. The Muffin Man asked B Major to send some of his work over WhatsApp. [4] B Major later on claimed that he heard some similarities with his music and YoungstaCPT's '1000 mistakes' song from the rapper's album '3T' and when he tried to reach out to the rapper and his producer his texts were left unread and unreplied
“I know my arrangements and melody patterns that I wrote. I mean you can’t just speed up the beat and take my chords, melodies and change my percussion/beat thinking I won’t notice anything wrong.” said B Major
However, YounstaCPT's management said the allegations made by B Major were incorrect and they further mentioned the producer behind '1000 Mistakes' named AirDee.
The Muffin Man told the press that he never saved nor passed B Major's work over to YoungstaCPT. He further said that the beat for '1000 Mistakes' was produced at the end of 2016 by AirDee, who is based in Pretoria and the alleged messages between him and B Major were sent later, between 2017 and 2018.[5]
