Baburaj Asariya[1][2] is an Indian film director, producer, writer, and film distributor, who works in the Malayalam film industry. He is the founder of the film production & distribution company

Collective Frames.[1][2] He made his directorial debut with the 2017 Non-Feature film The Unsung Heroes,[3][4] based on ambulance drivers real life. The movie received the Best Non-Feature Film Award in the most prestigious film festival around the world, some of them includes Satyajitray, Los Angeles, Barcelona Spain, Asian Goa Film Festival[5] [6]etc.

Asariya[4][3][7] started his movie career by producing short films from 2010,followed by Acting, Producing, Ad Films, Albums, TV programmes, Feature Film. He has debuted as Screenwriter, Producer and Director for the Non-Feature film titled The Unsung Heroes[3][4] based on Ambulance drivers real life in 2017. There after he has started with variety of projects like Muscroft the Saviours[6][2] starring Mary Muscroft[8][9] and Stephen Muscroft,[10][11] Yen Uyir Kadhale,[7][12] Haram,[1][13] Voice of the Voiceless,[14][15] Mr & Mrs[16][17] etc. He has also stepped into distributing films to OTT platforms, Theatres and TV Channels through his production and distribution house Collective Frames.[1][2][16]

Early life and family[edit]

Baburaj Asariya[2][16] was born in Thiruvananthapuram,[18] Kerala[19] to Daniel Asariya and Leela Asariya. He has one sibling, Chandrababu Asariya. He did his schooling from S.H.U.P.S Chullimanoor[20] and high schooling in B.R.M.H.S Elavattom,[21] Thiruvananthapuram[18] and received graduation from the Kerala University.[22] He started his IT career at Technopark Trivandrum[23] in 2008. He is married to Anjitha B Nair, a College Lecture in Bangalore.

Career[edit]

Baburaj Asariya[1][2] started his career in IT sector and was engaged in film making as well. He started producing short films in 2010, followed by Acting, Producing, Ad Films, Albums, TV programmes, short films and Feature Films. He has produced his first feature film Bhudhiparamaaya Neekkam[24] in 2015 which was unreleased. He has debuted as Screenwriter Director for the Documentary film titled The Unsung Heroes[3][4] based on Ambulance drivers real life in 2017. There after he has started with variety of projects like Muscroft the Saviours,[6][2] (Non-Feature Film), Yen Uyir Kadhale[7] (Tamil Music Drama), Haram[1] (Short Film), Ooji Mooji[25] (Web Series), Voice of the Voiceless[14] (Music Video) and Mr & Mrs[16] (Comedy Web Series) produced in multi Languages .He has also stepped into distributing films to OTT platforms, Theatres and TV Channels through his production and distribution house Collective Frames.[2][16] All his major works are available in Amazon Prime Video,[26] Shorts TV[27] (An International Broadcasting channel) , Filmeraa[28] and will be releasing on Disney+Hotstar and MX Player.[29] in Oct 2021.

Collective Frames[30][2] announces two new movies in Malayalam Kadha Paranja Kadha[31][32] directed by Siju Jawahar and the cast include Sidharth Menon,[33] Tarushi Jha,[34] Dileesh Pothen,[35][36] Ranji Panikar,[37][38] Praveena[39][40] and Santhosh Keezhattoor[41][42] and Kaadakalam[43] directed by Dr.Sakhil Raveendran[44] staring Master Davinchi Satheesh[45] and Tamil award winning film Quota[46] directed by P. Amudavanan[47] are all set to be released on OTT Platforms in 2021.
