The Babymetal World Tour 2018 (stylized as BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2018) is the upcoming fourth worldwide concert tour by Japanese band Babymetal. The tour was announced on February 27, 2018, with dates confirmed for legs in the United States and Europe starting on May 8, 2018.
Background[edit]
The tour was officialy confirmed on the band's main website on February 27, 2018,[1] and marks first set of shows announced since the death of Kami Band member Mikio Fujioka on January 5, 2018.[2][3] Tickets are scheduled to be available on March 1 (VIP sale) and March 3 (general sale) for the American leg consisting of various appearances around the country leading up to an appearance at Rock on the Range, and on February 28 (VIP sale) and March 2 (general sale) for the European leg, which includes various appearances at festivals.[4][5] Additionaly, the tour marks the beginning of Metal Resistance Episode VII,[6] after the performance at Legend "S" Baptism XX.[5]
On April 9, 2018, the band confirmed the schedule with a series of opening acts by Skyharbor and previously revealed Dream State.[7]
