Bader Jamous (Arabic: بدر محي الدين جاموس, romanized: Badr Muḥyī al-Dīn Jāmūs; born 1968) is a Syrian diplomat, politician. he is the president of the Syrian Negotiation Commission.[1]
Political Career[edit]
Bader Jamous played a key role in the formation and leadership of major opposition groups.
- 2011: Jamous was one of the founders of the Syrian National Council. after its establishment, he was appointed the head of its education office.
- 2012: Jamous was one of the founders of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces.[2]
- 2013: he was elected as the Secretary General of the National Coalition.He held this position for two consecutive terms.[3]
- 2014: Jamous was a key member of the delegation at the Geneva II Conference on Syria, held on 22 January. He represented the opposition's interests.[4]
- 2015: Participated in Riyadh I Conference.[5]
- 2017: Participated in Riyadh II Conference,elected vice-president of the National Coalition.
- 2022: he was elected as the president of the Syrian Negotiation Commission.[6][7]
- Jamous visited many Arab and European countries[8], in order to revitalize political process based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254.[9]
