Baghonwali[1] is a village (Gram Panchayat) located in Muzaffarnagar district, India, 5 km to the north of Muzaffarnagar City.[2] It lies on Delhi-Dehradun Highway NH-58. Baghonwali is a Urdu word meaning ‘A place of Gardens’. Baghonwali has a population of about 13000, in which 90% are Gaur Muslims, the remaining 10% being Dalits and other castes of Muslims. It comes under Purqazi seat of Vidhan Sabha Constituency and in Bijnor Loksabha seat. Mrs. Nargis Roshan w/o Syed Roshan[3] is Gram Pradhan of Baghonwali.

Baghonwali has neighboring villages Bajheri and Ratheri.

Baghonwali has a very renowned Madarasa ‘Madarsa Khadimul Uloom[4]’ which is the largest Madarsa of Muzaffarnagar district and has produced notable Islamic Scholars.

Madarasa Khadimul Uloom

Khadimul Uloom is an Islamic seminary in Baghonwali, Muzaffarnagar. It is located in the westernmost part of Baghonwali, 25 km south of Deoband and 5 km north of Muzaffarnagar city. It was founded by prominent Islamic Scholars and leader ‘Deputy Abdur Raheem’ under the guidance of Maulana Ilyas Kandhlavi, Founder of Tablighi Jamat.
