Bailando 2020 would be the fifteenth season of Bailando por un Sueño. Its premiere was scheduled for mid-September, on the El Trece network.

This season's premiere date was delayed multiple times by the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, it was scheduled to start on April 20 or 27. Subsequently, the date was moved to mid-May. However, as the epidemiological situation in the country did not warrant it, the date was moved to June 1. Later, for June 15 or 22. Finally, the debut date was pushed back to mid-September (waiting for the situation to improve). In mid-September, it was confirmed that the contest was definitively cancelled following the introduction of social distancing regulations. Leaving that the show returned the newer one on April of the following year.

Cast[edit]

Teams[edit]

Initially, 24 teams were confirmed.[1] Agustina Agazzani and Mariana Genesio Peña, two of the celebrities announced in the show, withdraw from the competition before it started.[2] Agazzani, Baclini's partner celebrity, withdraw for personal reasons. Genesio Peña withdraw for work reasons.[3]

This season 3 couples made up of celebrities participate, they are: Claudio García & Sofía Macaggi; Marcos Gómez & Karina Hernández; and Nicolás Occhiato & Florencia J. Peña (winners of the previous edition, defenders of the title).

For the first time in history, three celebrities (María Laura, María Emilia & María Eugenia Fernández) and a dancer will form a team. And they will have a modality, never performed in the program, the three will rotate throughout the styles (that is, in each round, only one of the three will dancing, although the three will rehearse the style of the round and will be said in the program live who will dance).[4]

After the cancellation of this season, some participants (or teams) will return in the next edition.

  1. Agustina Agazzani's team was made up of Martín Baclini, partner celebrity, and Florencia Paludi, choreographer. Clarification: It was a couple made up of two celebrities.
  2. In its place, enters Mar Tarrés.
  3. Las Trillizas de Oro will have a differential compared to the other participants: although they will be part of the same team, the three will rotate throughout the styles (that is, in each round only one of the three will dancing), thus being the first couple to take this modality in the history of the program.

It was confirmed that Marcelo Tinelli would return as a host. Marcelo Polino, Ángel de Brito and Pampita Ardohaín would return as judges. Florencia Peña announced that she quit the show for personal and work reasons.[5]
