Baiteshwor Rural Municipality is part of Bagmati province located in Dolakha district of Nepal with "Padu danda" as its current official headquarters. The altitude varies from 886 meters to 3047 meters with an area of 80.41 square kilometers and a population of 19876 according to the census of B.S 2068. The rural municipality consists of eight wards (former five village development committees – Kabre, Namdu, Mirge, Gairimudi, Chhetrapa).
It is named after the Baiteshwor temple situated locally. The rural municipality is bordered by Jiri municipality in the east, Bhimeshwor municipality in the west, Gaurishankar rural municipality and Kalinchowk rural municipality in the north, and Tamakoshi rural municipality in the south.
