Ballu Saluja is an Indian film editor[1], producer, screenwriter, and director. He is also a member of the Academy Awards at the Oscars[2]. Saluja is renowned for his over two decades of experience in film editing, working in both Indian and international cinema. He graduated in Economics (1994) from Punjabi University, Patiala, and started his career before digital editing platforms were prevalent.

Career[edit]

Saluja began his film career by editing notable movies like Lagaan (2000), Pinjar (2003), Swades (2004), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), R.. Rajkumar (2013), and Dangal (2016)[3]. He also edited the international Chinese film Yi He Bu Xi Baan (Looking Up). Additionally, he served as the sound designer for Paltan and directed an advertisement for Ketomac Shampoo in 2010. Saluja is an Academy member (Oscars) in the Editing branch[4].

Besides films, Saluja has edited numerous TV series, advertisements, documentaries, and audiovisuals. His work includes Oscar-nominated films and notable Indian movies, gaining recognition for his editing skills.
