Balvinder Kumar
Balvinder Kumar (born 14 February 1957) is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1981 batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Prior to joining the IAS, he was a probationer of Indian Forest service (IFS) from April 1, 1980 to August 30, 1981. He retired from the IAS as Secretary, Mines in the Central Government in February 2017. He also served as Vice Chairman of Delhi Development Authority from January 2014 to July 2015. After retirement, he became Vice Chancellor at SGT University, Gurugram from May 2018 to August 2018. [1][2][3][4][5][6]
He served as the Member of Real Estate Regulatory Authority India from August 2018 to February 2022.[5]
Education
Kumar passed out with an M.Sc from Botany University, Delhi University. Later he completed his M.Phil. from the same department of Delhi University. Later, during his service, he did a Masters in Development Administration from University of Birmingham, England, UK from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998. Besides, he had undergone many in-service training programs from time to time.
