Balvinder Kumar

Balvinder Kumar (born 14 February, 1957) is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1981 batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Prior to coming into IAS, he was probationer of Indian Forest service (IFS) from April 1, 1980 to August 30, 1981. He retired from IAS as Secretary, Mines in the Central Government in February, 2017. He also served as Vice Chairman of Delhi Development Authority from January, 2014 to July, 2015. After retirement, he became Vice Chancellor in SGT University, Gurugram from May 2018 to August, 2018. He served as the Member of Real Estate Regulatory Authority India from August 2018 to February 2022.[5]

Education[edit]

Kumar passed out M.Sc. from Botany University, Delhi University. Later he completed his M.Phil. from the same department of Delhi University. Later, during the service, he did Masters in Development Administration from University of Birmingham, England, UK from October 1, 1997 to Sept 30, 1998. Besides, he had undergone many in-service training programs from time to time.
