The Bangalistan Region (Urdu: علاقہ بنگلستان, romanized: Elaqai 'Bangalistan) was one of the proposed Federal regions of the then pre-1971 United Pakistan that was expected to be activated in the next 1974 Constitution, to be a federal Autonomous region of Eastern Pakistan. The proposed Bangalistan Region included four East Bangla “تقسیم” or Divisions, which were Dacca, Chittagong, Khulna, and Rangpur. Dhaka (Dacca) would serve as its Regional capital.
