Banhabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU) is a specialized government digital university in Bangladesh. The university is located in Gazipur Gazipur district near Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
History[edit]
With an aim to develop Bangladesh as a digital technology center in the 21st century, the Government of Bangladesh enacted a law in the Assembly on 26 July 2016 to establish a technological university on 50 acres of land adjacent to Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakair, Gazipur District.[1] The full-fledged activities of BDU began on 12 June 2017.
Infrastructure[edit]
University infrastructure was built on a 50-acre site within the BTRC's Talibanabad satellite center adjacent to Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park at Kaliakair in Gazipur district, about 48 km northeast of the capital Dhaka.
Administrative & Academics Branch[edit]
Administrative and academic activities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh have started from 2018-2019 academic year. This educational process started by renting two temporary buildings at Kaliakair in Gazipur district.
