Bappusaheb Sadashiv Bhosale (Marathi:बाप्पूसाहेब सदाशिव भोसले) (born 26 June 1977) is an Indian politician and social activist from Pune.[1] He is a Founder President of Dalit Panther of India,[2][3][4] a social organization that seeks to combat caste discrimination.[5] Bhosale is also an ambassador of UNFFT.[6]
Early life and background
Bappusaheb Bhosale was born on 26 June 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father, Sadashiv Bhosale, was a co-founder of Dalit Panther of India.
Awards and recognition
- In 2004, he received the Mahatma Phule Educational and Rajiv Gandhi Excellency Youth Awards, Pune, India.
- In 2005, he was honored with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Award, New Delhi, and the Samaj-Bhooshan Award, Pune.
- In 2007, he received the Mother Teresa Award, Pune.
- In 2008, he received the Youth Press-Club Award.
- In 2009, he received the Social Harmony Award, Mumbai.
- In 2011, he received the Sant Eknath Award, MIT, Pune.
