Barron William Trump (born March 20, 2006) is an American socialite and media personality. He is the son of former 45th president of the United States, businessman and media personality, Donald Trump, and former fashion model and First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump. He is a member of the Trump family.[1]

Early life[edit]

Barron William Trump was born on March 20, 2006 in the Manhattan borough of New York City. He is Donald Trump's son with his third wife, Melania Trump.

He has four older half-siblings, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump.

Residences[edit]

He was raised in New York City at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. He had an entire level of his family's three-story penthouse, with an estimated $100 million value, to himself. He attended Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School.

On June 11, 2017, he moved to Washington, D.C. to live in the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He attended St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, USA.

He also spends time at his family's vacation home Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Education[edit]

He attended the Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in Manhattan.

Barron did not immediately move into the White House when his father became president, but remained at Trump Tower with his mother until the end of the 2016–2017 school year.[2] He and his mother moved to the White House on June 11, 2017. Having joined St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, in June 2017, he was scheduled to start the ninth grade there in the fall of 2020.[3]

In January 2021, Barron's mother was reportedly selecting schools for him in the Palm Beach area.[4]

Career[edit]

Television[edit]

During his early childhood, Barron made several television appearances, including on The Apprentice and a May 16, 2006, episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show at only two months old.[5]

2016 presidential campaign[edit]

He appeared at a campaign rally in South Carolina, and was present for his father's 2016 RNC acceptance speech, presidential victory speech, and inauguration ceremony in January 2017. He also attended some of his father's subsequent events.[6]

"Save Barron" Movement[edit]

In June 2020, a rumor spread on TikTok that Barron's Roblox account had been found under the name "JumpyTurtlee". It was purported that other children from Barron's school had confirmed that the account was his, and images circulated which supposedly "proved" this, but were later reported to be images of a fake Donald Trump tweet. Elements of the profile indicated that the user liked Anime, K-pop, supported LGBT rights and Bernie Sanders. Users started the hashtag #savebarron2020, which began trending on Twitter, and began making videos on social media displaying his perceived humanity and kindness.[7] An anonymous user on Change.org started a petition to "free Barron", reaching more than 15,000 signatures within a few days.[8]

Personal life[edit]

In May 2006, Barron Trump was baptized at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida.[9]

On October 14, 2020, Melania Trump confirmed that Barron had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, without exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.[10]

In addition to English, Barron is fluent in Slovene.[11]

Sports[edit]

He appeared in an Arsenal F.C. jersey and met D.C. United players at the White House Easter Egg Roll in April 2017.[12] In September 2017, he was selected to join the U-12 team for D.C. United's Development Academy for the 2017–2018 season.[13] As of February 2019, Barron played with the Arlington Soccer Association.

He plays golf.
