Basil M. Abad

Basil Martinez Abad (25 September 1920 - 11/16 November or 21 December 1944 (Disputed) was a United States sailor during World War II. He was a Radioman Second Class on the USS Scamp (SS-277).[1] He was born in Silverbell, Arizona, United States of America. The USS Scamp was sunk by a Japanese sea mine near the Tokyo Bay. He is buried at the Honolulu Memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a Purple Heart Recipient.[2]
