Battle Cry of Freedom is tactical multiplayer third-person / first-person shooter developed by Flying Squirrel Entertainment, the creators of the Mount & Blade: Warband DLC, Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars. The game is set during the years 1863 to 1864 of the American Civil War. It features period-correct uniforms with a variety of customization options, along with a vast arsenal of weapons and artillery. All weapons utilize a full ballistics systems. It supports multiplayer servers with up to 500 players across a variety of game modes. [1][2][3] It also has a host of other features such as dynamic weather and time, a powerful map maker / editor, destructible environments, and numerous support classes that provide buffs to the regular infantry. In addition to a large amount of quality of life changes and bug fixes, the latest game update also included a free community made, Napoleonic Wars themed total conversion mod. The mod, Age of Napoleon (AoN) gives players access to 19th century line battle combat and features several well known British and French regiments. [6]
