    Battle of New Dragonspire[edit]

The Battle of New Dragonspire was fought when King Naeus of the  Nether Horde led an army to conquer the End Capital of New Dragonspire. However, the city was defended by the entirety of the  Ender Watchers, a much smaller force under Queen Ceris. The battle resulted in a Nether victory — Vordus and the Ender Dragon were killed, Ceris was later executed and the Nether took control of New Dragonspire, enslaving the remaining endermen.

The battle took place in "Ender Wish". Before her capture, Ceris managed to scatter the End Crystals across the Overworld and Zeganirn escaped to defend Rain and Stella and entrust the End Crystals to them, setting up the third season.

    Early Battle[edit]

In the Nether, Naeus uses his newfound magical abilities to ignite a Nether-End Gateway (possibly the first one of its kind) large enough for his entire army to traverse. Hordes of Pigmen and Wither Skeletons begin to arrive at the End, and initially seem to experience high casualties due to all four of the Ender Watchers being concentrated near the portal. Ceris delivers devastating blows to the first waves of Wither Skeletons with the Ender Greatsword, while the Ender Dragon and Zeganirn, accompanied by Endermen, manage to defeat scores of Pigmen first arriving into the End. Vordus is presumed to fall back to the rear making use of the Dragon Seer's Staff's long range. Large groups of Endermen effectively engage incoming Wither Skeletons and Pigmen in melee combat with white, double-bladed swords similar to the ones Ceris wield.

    Defeat of the Ender Dragon[edit]

As more Wither Skeletons and Pigmen begin to overwhelm the Endermen and the Ender Watchers, pushing the battle deeper into New Dragonspire, General Hogsworth and Naeus enter the battlefield crossing the End Portal. They soon engage the Ender Dragon, Hogsworth dodging and blocking the Dragon's attacks with his shield while Naeus teleports above and damages its wing using his lightning. Hogsworth lands a blow to the Dragon's neck with his diamond sword, and Naeus then kills it by driving the Ruby Thorn forward and igniting the flames inside the Dragon's throat.

    Results[edit]

    Reinforcements of the Nether[edit]

Kralos and Infernius soon follow the Ender Dragon's defeat, leading Wither Skeletons, Pigmen and Ghasts into the fray. Infernius soon orders the Ghasts to shoot, killing several Endermen, including Vordus, with their fire as others fight by traditional means. Upon seeing Vordus struck down, Ceris attempts to rush to his aid, but is intercepted by Infernius, who pummels and burns her in attempts to weaken her. Despite losing her mask and being burnt, she still attacks Infernius with the Ender Greatsword, her Armblades and even her fists, striking him and throwing him into the Void.

    Defending the End Chest[edit]

Upon the arrival of a Giant Wither, Ceris is shown to use the power of the Eye in Vordus' staff to place the End Crystals in the Chest. Naeus is able to locate Ceris and commands she yields, however she instead moves towards him in an attempt to delay him reaching the Chest. The two meet in battle, with Ceris able to land a few hits before being stabbed by the Ruby Thorn. She becomes victim to a lightning attack, before she is struck again in a similar attack. Desperately she blocks the supposed final blow using her blades, her eyes slowly closing as she embraces her destiny. As the blades give way, Zeganirn, who had survived Hogsworth, teleports to the Chest, grabbing it and teleporting to the Coven Village. Naeus, whilst distracted, barely notices Ceris trying to rise up, however when he does she is kicked down and knocked out from the impact, where he asserts dominance despite losing the crystals.
