Battle for Dream Island (or BFDI) is a YouTube animated web series created by twin brothers Cary and Michael Huang,[2] under the name "jacknjellify". The show was first released on January 1, 2010, and is currently on its fifth season.[3]

Premise[edit]

In the first season of Battle for Dream Island, 20 objects compete in a 25-episode reality show that is hosted by the Announcer to win a luxurious island known as "Dream Island", with two teams of ten. Eliminated contestants are sent to the Tiny Loser Chamber (TLC); sometimes, though, they get the chance to rejoin. Teams were later split into three and soon fully disbanded, introducing a "points" mechanic to the game. In episode 18, the recommended character David debuts into the game, and in episode 19, the points system is replaced by immunity to characters who win a challenge. The Firey and Flower Speaker Boxes also become temporary hosts between episodes 22 and 23. In the finale, Firey wins BFDI, but it gets stolen by Leafy after she is not allowed in. She is then chased away by the other contestants to Yoyleland and remains there during the next season, Battle for Dream Island Again.
