[Citation required] In early 2013, Thomas Marney became the showrunner, director, and producer of the series following McDannell's death[3] on March 14, and later reformed the series as
Goloofworld: Degacy On March 17, 2016, Marney announced that he had ceded control of Goloofworld to Varnez and the McDannell family. On January 1, 2017, the show's website came back online with new Goloofworld comics written and illustrated by Simon Varnez.
On March 1, 2020, the series continued after its hiatus from March 2016, where Simon Varnez became the new showrunner and director of the series.
