The Battle of Ceuta (1341) was a naval engagement that took place off Ceuta during the Reconquista. A Christian fleet, composed of ships from Portugal, Castile, Aragon, and Genoa, engaged with a fleet of Granada and Marinid Morocco stationed in Ceuta. The battle resulted in a Muslim retreat and the consolidation of Christian dominance in the Strait of Gibraltar.[2]
