Background and Aftermath
At first, Georgians entered the city of Gali with 1000 soldiers. The Abkhazians met Georgians with 1400 soldiers. The Georgians were well prepared for this battle. The battle lasted for only one day, which ended in Georgian victory. Abkhazians retreated to Ochamchire.[1][2][3]
