Abimbola Oladokun (born 25 June 1997) known professionally as Bayanni, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.[1][2] He signed a record deal with Mavin Records.[3][4][5] He rose to fame in 2022 following the release of his single "Ta Ta Ta," from his self-titled extended play "Bayanni", which was later remix by an American singer Jason Derulo.[6] In 2023, he was nominated at The Headies as Rookie of the Year.[7]
Career
Bayanni spent many years trying to make it since 2017. When he started freestyling and releasing it on social media platforms he didn't get enough attention, until then he make a freestyle remix of the song Jowo which was made by the Nigerian singer Davido which went viral and got many people attention that which led to his fame and got signed to Mavin Records. Later he released an eponymous Ep titled Bayanni.[8][9]
