Beast Keeper[1] (Alternative Name: Beastkeeper) is an Italian animated fantasy series with distribution by Mondo TV[2][3] [4] along with Ponpoko Productions, Starbright and Kappa Edizioni plus it was animated by the anime company, Nada Anime.

Plot[edit]

Keep is a boy with no memory of his past and of unknown origin, but he is in possession of an ancient and magical artifact called a Spin Shell, which gives him the power to control the Beasts. Beasts are legendary creatures hidden in every corner of the world, and Keep can harness their power and actually fuse with them. The young Jay, Alice, Mac and Argon, plus Toto, accompany him in a great adventure searching for his true identity, little by little a mystery deeply rooted in a remote past, an era when the courageous and various Keepers saved the world from the invasion of the Underground Creatures. During their great adventure, the five young heroes will obtain new Spin Shells and learn about the Reapers, these evil and villainous obscure figures that are plotting for world domination in the shadows and using the Beasts’ power to their advantage. They solve puzzles, meet new companions and face difficult situations thanks to their friendship and cooperation.

History[edit]

Long ago, in ancient times, there were giants that control supernatural powerful creatures dubbed Beasts that cause chaos and mayhem in the world. Until one day human warriors use mystical items called Spin Shells, magical yo-yos, to capture the Beasts and use the captured Beasts' powers against the giants. After the war finally ended, the giants are defeated and the human warriors have won. Soon the warriors and anyone under their guidance who use the Spin Shell are called BeastKeepers. Keepers for short. But soon when years go by, people that use the Spin Shells for their own personal gain and letting the Beast take full control of them, they are dubbed BeastReapers. Reapers for short. And the Reapers' main goal is to conquer the Earth.

Characters[edit]

Beast Keepers[edit]

Keepers: . Keepers are those who capture beast but use their abilities for good as part of the Society Of Reapers. They use logic instead of beastly instinct when using symbiose. When the Keepers use Symbios, their forms are more Humanoid than beast, almost armor like.

  • Keep: Keep is a amnesic boy who can't remember his past, along with not remembering where he got a spin shell. He is a spirited wild boy but also caring and wise. His beast is Drew the dragon.
  • Jay: A boy with a brave spirit and a trickster attitude. He has long blonde hair that covers one side of his eye. His beast is Aster the Hawk.
  • Alice: The only girl in the group. She is the voice of reason, has pink hair and adores cute animals. She gets aggressive when being insulted by boys for being a girl. Her beast is Labuan the tiger.
  • Mac: The brains of the team. He has knowledge of the Keepers and the Spin Shells. His beast is Thuan the turtle.
  • Argon: The oldest of the group and the guardian of the kids. He wears a classic medieval outfit with a blue bron shoulder cape cloak. He is a true Keeper who is trained to know how to use the Spin Shells and how to control the Beast. Long before he was a Keeper, he was once a Reaper who controls his beast to be a zombie. From his experience for being a Reaper he left the organization and became one of the Beast Keepers. Recently while on his quest he came across Keep and his friends, the same time when Keep met Jay, Alice and Mac. Soon after being framed of doing some damages, Argon took the kids with him to stop the Reapers and along the way he teach the kids how to control the spin shells and control their beasts. He once was master of Drew The Dragon but lost him. Now his new beast is Howl the wolf.

They have three different forms that can be controlled and altered from using the Spin Shells; Basic, their average animal form. Pet, a cute small baby-like chibi form. In pet form they are more cooperative and they don't remember anything when they fight and not knowing that they're beast. And lastly Symbio, a fusion of beast and its owner that become one humanoid animal. There are side effects of using Symbio. The beast can control the owner if the owner can't control the beast. If anyone that stays in Symbio too long they may be stuck in Symbio forever, never turn back to human. Those who are trape in Symbio Form are called The Creepers, the scientists from the Reaper Organization came up with the name. There is a Fusion ability where two Beast fuse together with or without the Master, but it's risky and extremely dangerous to use. The only beings that were fused are Grook and Ditko, which was an accident caused by Lee when he captured Grook in Ditko's Spin Shell making them into a Hyena Spider Hybrid Monster.
