Beat The Blondes was an unsold pilot for a television game show based on preconceptions, prejudice, strategy, and statistics. Created by Eyeworks and hosted by Tom Arnold, the show's grand prize was intended to be US $1,000,000.
Rules of the game[edit]
In the game, a male contestant answers a series of questions against 50 blonde women to defy the stereotype that intelligence cannot coexist with beauty. The contestant faces 7 rows of 7 women, with the fiftieth blonde at the top. The game, with a prize of US$1,000,000, is divided into two rounds.
Round 1[edit]
In the first round, the contestant challenges one row at a time, choosing from various categories. Correct answers increase the prize, and incorrect responses from the women eliminate them from the game. The fiftieth blonde's incorrect answer doubles the prize if she answers wrong, even if the contestant is correct. Women who answer correctly move on to the second round.
Round 2[edit]
In the second round, the remaining women (if fewer than 25) are placed in a semicircle. The contestant answers questions and points to a woman believed to have answered incorrectly. If correct, she is eliminated; otherwise, the contestant continues until finding a correct answer. The contestant can make only three mistakes out of ten questions.
Final Round[edit]
In the final round, with only three women left, the contestant can choose to stop and take the prize earned or continue to eliminate all remaining women to win US$1,000,000. If the contestant continues but fails to eliminate the women, they share a predetermined prize of $10,000.
